Useful Apps and Practical Tips

📱 TRAM d'Alacant (official)

Real-time timetables and alerts for TRAM lines L1–L9. Best for TRAM travel.

📱 Moovit

Best for tourists — covers TRAM + TAM + Vectalia, door-to-door planning, offline maps.

📱 Google Maps

Good in Alicante centre. Weaker for smaller Vectalia routes (Gran Alacant, Santa Pola).

🚕 PideTaxi / Cabify

PideTaxi — official taxis with regulated fares. Cabify minimum 24 €. Uber available since 2024.

Top 5 tips

  1. Always validate your ticket — fines up to 200 € for missing validation, inspectors travel in plain clothes.
  2. Buy BonoBús at a tobacconist (estanco), not on the bus — single tickets cost full price on board.
  3. For 3–4 people with luggage, a taxi from the airport to Gran Alacant (~7–9 €/person) beats a 2-hour journey with a change.
  4. C-6 bus runs 24h — safe for late-night flights to/from city centre.
  5. Weekends in Gran Alacant: last bus to Alicante around 20:00 — plan accordingly or use Cabify.
